Default Cheap ammunition NE/E San Antonio

Are there any stores that sell ammunition cheap like Wal-Mart(Target shooting ammo) in the NE/E area? gun shows sell the ammo at normal price because of all the BS going around. Even Wal-Mart isnt going to restock on bullets because of the issues. So where would be a good place to buy the ammo? Looking for mostly 9mm luger/ .45acp / .357 magnum

Stores in SA are getting ammo, but it is selling quickly. Prices have gone up, but not too bad and especially not nearly as bad as I saw at the gun show yesterday morning.

And while your local Walmart may chose not to restock because of recent events, that is not company policy nor are all the stores in SA doing that. I would have a chat with the manager at whatever Walmart told you that, as it doesn't jive with what I've heard from the stores I frequent.

Cheers! M2

Walmart will almost always be the cheapest, followed by Academy... if they have any in stock. You'll probably have to wait until all of the hoarding idiots get it out of their system.

I'd avoid Bass Pro/Gun shows/Gun shops unless you feel like getting ripped off.

Online is an option too.

Ok thanks. I'm just going to find a Wal-Mart that has some in stock or order online if there is some. The gun show prices yesterday skyrocketed. Too bad because I would've bought an Ar-15 .308 if the prices weren't so high...their loss though. Guess I'll just wait to buy one.

When I googled it, it seems to be a problem not only in your local Walmart

I've got friends looking for me, and they've found ammo. It's all a matter of timing, but it's out there!

There is a place I think at West Ave and Military that sells ammo that was pretty reasonable I can't remember the name it seems like it even had the word ammo in the name.

Someone with an FFL can order for you ammo from a catalog such as AIM Surplus. There are quite a few merchandisers and an FFL licensee can order from any of their catalogs. This is the easiest way to buy rifles too when a huge lot of them (some could be used and have seen combat in foreign campaigns) goes on the market if you want to skip the gun shows.

This is still local because the FFL license holder does make a small fee and it is actually from him you are buying it from. Sadly everything is selling out.

If you want to buy it by the case just go to gunauction.com click on ammo place your bid, a lot of them don't charge any shipping or handling and you don't need an FFL to buy ammo, at least not yet
