You know, not to hijack this thread, but someone up above did mention a yard sale, I think it was you WCat..... and I just HAVE to share this website for yard sale lovers or really for anyone who loves wild, crazy, funny stories.

Yardsales Garage Sales tips Yardsale Rummage - free tips

this will open the main page, look about halfway down the menu, beginning with "stories" and all the way through "humor".... these stories are honest to God pee-in-your-pants hysterical.... most of them anyway....
all are either humorous or unbelievably bizarre....
a real treat if you're up for a good laugh.....

In some of the Help Wanted sections of the local Craigslist, there is an ongoing battle happening between some people who think certain jobs should pay more and people who try to lowball what they pay. (I follow these categories through the RSS feeds, which is how I learn about deleted ads.)

The people who think jobs should pay more vote down the lowball jobs and get them removed from the site automatically. Sometimes, they'll post new ads with comments explaining why they voted down the other ads. The comments also get voted out, presumably by the job posters.

I use CL a ton also. Lots of success. I agree with the "don't click" philosophy, but I also agree that it's too accessable to those that don't have that common sense yet. (ie kids)
