Hello Everyone,

I am planning to move to San Antonio soon and am trying to get as much research done as possible. Today, I am trying to narrow my apartment choices. I would like feedback on the areas I have chosen (if you would be so kind). I have done a google street view of each of my selections and they all look a tad dodgy to me. If you know any/all of these neighborhoods, can you share your opinion?

Cevallos : 301 E. Cevallos.

Avalon: 3600 Eisenhauer Rd

San Juan Square: 1938 S Zarzamora St

The lodge on Perrin Creek: 2355 Austin way

What is your budget? Where will you be working? Do you have a car?

Your choices seem kind of random.

About the areas, the Cevallos lofts are in Southtown which is downtown and has recently become a popular place to live. It's also the most expensive one on your list.

Avalon and the Lodge on Perrin Creek are both in the same area near Austin Highway, which has recently undergone revitalization.

I would probably avoid living on S Zarzamora, personally.

The Avalon will probably be okay. The Lodge on Perrin Creek is further down Austin Hwy away from the revitalized area. I have not heard good things about that area.

San Juan Square is kind of off of 90 and Zarzamora. It's near downtown but more of a "west side" feel to it. Taquerias, people walking palces, bike riders, etc. I think it's pretty family oriented as far as who lives in the area, but there will always be some bad seeds.

Check into some areas near 410/Jackson Keller as well as the Medical Center too. It sounds like your budget it a bit like mine and those were the areas I was looking in.

A few quick minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Safe, secluded, surrounded by all that's needed!

The Avalon is nice, quiet; you can take Eisenhauer road straight into Broadway, Gucci B to the left and Lincoln heights H.E.B. to the right and you are less than 10 minutes from the Quarry area. Personally I like Oak Park H.E.B.where New Braunsfels and Nachodoches meet
