some people I work with saw that truck spin out this morning. I left my house (in Westcreek) at about 5:15 AM and the wind and rain had just started. By the time I made it to Potranco and 1604 it was bad and by 1604/90 you couldn't see much of anything, including the stop lights..

There were 3 cars on the side of the road at Blanco and Wilderness Oak this morning that were in an accident. Then when at Huebner and 1604 (coming from Blanco) there was a car that went through a rock wall! There was a cop on the scene, but it looked like that was the only car in the accident, luckily.

gotta love San Antonio drivers.. I used to try to figure out just how stupid you'd have to be to get in some of the accidents I see here, but now I don't even bother..

Default Perfect Fall/Winter Weather

The air outside feels sooooo good! I have been longing for this cool fresh air for weeks. I just can't seem to get my brain to accept that it is fall and nearly Halloween with all the 80+ degree weather we've had.

If I could order up my preferred fall/winter weather, it would be exactly like today... crispy cool out, breezy, occasional showers, with blue skies and sunshine peeking through from time to time. I am so excited to snuggly up in a cozy sweater and take a long walk outside, what a great day!

You know, it wouldn't be so bad if they had BOTHERED TO TURN THE AC OFF in the school library. Oh my god, it's like a meat freezer in here.

Noplace,
I'm with you! I made my first mug of hot cocoa this fall. The weather has been one of the hardest things for me to adjust to here... days like today remind me of Colorado September/October mornings... of course, it's usually snowing on Halloween there, but we loved it. The older I get, the less I can tolerate the heat.

Man, did you see those light swinging at the 1604/90 intersection this morning...the last time I saw traffic lights swing like that was during a typhoon in Japan...I was actually afraid one of them was going to fall off and land on the car!

There is good news for "cool" weather fans in South Texas -- no signs of heating up any time soon. That means highs should be in the mid-upper 70s (with low humidity of course) with lows in 40s & 50s.
