Pei Wei
Over the weekend my wife and I decided to dine in Pei Wei and found it very good. The reason I mention it is because we went the very first day it opened and got take out and were not too thrilled. We hadn’t gone back since then but decided to give it another shot. The food portions were large and the service was good. I wonder if they give the same amount if we would have ordered it take out. I say this because I don’t remember that much food when taking it home.

I too have found that the take home portions at Pei Wei are smaller. This goes for Dallas and St. Louis Pei Weis as well. Good food though.

Same thing up here in the Minneapolis area. Been to three different locations and they don't give you as much food when you get it to go. It also doesn't taste as good eating it at home.

I personally have found Pei Wei to be consistantly good food...both in the take out and the eat in.
Both the freshness and, in my opinion, quanity is more than sufficient either way.

I agree with Paka, it's been great as a sit down, and great to go. I like this place, much better than Wok Inn down the road.

We love them too. I also have found that most Chinese restaurants aren't good the first few weeks. We think it has to do with breaking in/seasoning their woks or something! Or they are still in the learning phase. I don't know what it is.
Now I'm dying for some Honey Seared Chicken! Yummy!

Their food is great. They have the best Hot and Sour soup ever! But they do short you on take-out. You get a lot less soup when you order out. . I just kindly ask them to equal the portions and they have absolutely no problem with it at all. I am in Houston by the way.

That's what I ordered!! Well, the shrimp version but it was absolutely outstanding, plus their fried rice is great!
EDIT: I didn't realize I never mentioned that I was referring to the
location at Potranco and 1604. I just assumed that my fellow
Far West Residents knew what I was talking about. Sorry.
