Probably a jellyfish. They used to get us once in a while as kids. Lots of dead ones on the beaches on our last trip. But,.....if it left a scar

The only time in the last decade I've been on a beach was when a relative had a delayed wedding celebration ceremony by a beach. So I'm doubting that there will be a first time this year.
