Is it possible to beat weather like this?
I had a bbq fundraiser that I helped out with all day today and the weather has been just absolutely spectacular. Even better news -- there's no end in sight to this deep blue sky, dry warm days and chilly nights weather pattern.

Though, I thought when we went out for lunch today that I was going to come back in an hour and sit by the pool and read a book. But noooooooo, four hours of my life were sucked away shopping for new furniture.

How did your SA interview go? And tell Mrs. Spamatdan that you shouldn't buy the furniture there, wait till you get here! Then maybe tomorrow you can sit by the pool.

Ah, thank you for asking. I think the interview went really well. I will find out on Friday about next interview steps. I think they have interest (at least I hope so) as they did not give me the usual, "we will get back to you". And, we are all here crammed into Budget Suites on Fredericksburg. Thank goodness we got a two bedroom, otherwise the four of us would go bonkers! Though we may still. LOL

THIS is why hotel rates go UP this time of year. October has become the heigth of the tourist season in San Antonio. Great time for outdoor eating on the River Walk.....or anywhere. Fall is my favorite time of the year in SA.

I could do with a little less cold at night, we still don't have a skirting on our foundation and it's COOOOOLD in the morning! Our floors are freezing.

These cold mornings make my 5:30am ride to work in an open Jeep quite a fun experience, but I still love 'em! I think my fondness for this time of year goes back to the third time I came to Texas in 1989 (the first was USAF basic training in 1981, then AFROTC training in 1987). I was up in San Angelo and this was the weather we were experiencing. Crisp mornings, abundant sunshine and daytime temps that would warm you up quite nicely, then cool, clear evenings that made outdoor dining or just enjoying a good drink a treat. One of the things that drew us here permanently was the weather. You can't beat it, even the extended heat we get during the summers.
Cheers! M2
