Far East vs. Far West (
I was driving out east on 10. I noticed that the development is slowly starting to pick up. There are plenty of houses being built yet the retail is not following yet. So will the Far East (I10 east outside 410) ever have its hay day.

sometimes i wonder the same thing because i grew up on the east side a part of town that has been neglected for years. but as far as the far east i have seen new development but it like you said it hasn't been the the like i hear about the far west. but my half brother told me when his mom moved to woodlake which is in east bexar county around 93 or 94 they didn't really have much out that way. which he is right because me and my friend use to go to his girl house in sunrise which is near by there. but you go out that way now you'll see more than what it use to be.

The far far east won't have it's time until they build a sewer system out there. SARA has been trying to do something with a public/private venture but it has it's issues.

The OP said 10 east of 1604, so much farther east than east of 35.

I am talking about I10 corridor east of 410 on the East side. I10 and Foster and out past 1604 going east on I10.

That area is growing, its just not all right along I-10. If you drove north on Foster road, you'd see a ton of subdivisions that have been put in within the last two years. The retail is starting to follow, as well. I do find it surprising, however, that there's still nothing at the 1604/10 intersection, given that you only have to drive about a mile north to find a ton of houses, and I'm sure at least some of those folks use I-10 to commute into downtown every day.

The area is growing!
I know that the land all along FM 78 is for sale, and I have seen signs for some big retail that will be built. Yes, I live in the area and I am glad that there will be alot of retail going in on FM 78, I go to the Forum now, and it is kind of a pain to get there and back (traffic wise). there is also some retail going in by Wagner High, a new HEB I think, don't really get that way as foster road is under construction. But I can tell you that traversing I10/90 to the west is easier then trying to get there from the north!
