Please don't waste your time telling me I am a bad wife/human....I admit it right up front tonite.

On my way home from work...have been sick with allergies/sinus issues for past two weeks....killer tired tonite. Stop at the Valero at the corner of Wiseman and 151 to get gas, a bottle of wine....and find they have a "build your own sandwhich" area at their "Fresh" counter.

YES...I am evil....yes, I am beat....YES...I bought one of their "Italian" sandwhichs to go for dinner tonite for me and whenever DH finally makes it home from work....

DAMN THIS THING IS GOOD!!!!! IF you have one of the Valero "fresh" counters with the subs...try he "made to order" Italian.....

May be good but have you tried the Roasted Lamb Sandwich at La Tuna? Best sandwich I've had in 15 years of living in Texas.

I am surprised it was good. I have never seen the "build your own" but any time I had gotten a sandwich at Valero it was 99% bread 1% meat. They totally cheaped out on it.

I am not above buying a sandwich anywhere but the ones I got there were not good. Have to try the build your own part. I have no issues buying a sandwich anywhere if they do it right.

Never tried the sammiches at Valero, but the one's they make at Buckees are great! Fresh, tasty and plenty of it!
Fav. road munchie when going to Lake Charles so I can help pay the casino's light bill.

You didn't say if the hubby ever made it home in time to sample the sandwich before it disappeared. I for one don't think he even knew about it........
