Hi pondering about taking the familt to seaworld spring-break (next week) for maybe 3 days and can use some help regarding prices. Planning to go thurs-sat basically spending 2 nights at a hotel near the seaworld. Ok so the magical question is...

Inorder to get the best bang for my buck...is it best to purchase there vacation package ($600-includes waterpark) or individual tickets and find my own hotel( $447 total- $247tickets , $100 a night ). I figure with a difference of $150 i can book a 3 or 4 star hotel that may offer complimentary breakfast?

Also how crowded is it usually on spring break?

Coupons?

We will be driving from dallas. Any recommendation regarding the trip will be appreciated .

Will it be warm enough for the waterpark?

Also, are you talking about spending three days at Sea World, or visiting there for a day and spending the other days doing other things?

Link to SeaWorld Pass page: Our Most Popular Tickets | SeaWorld San Antonio

As you can see, the discounted one day tickets are about $10 less than a season pass. So, if you are planning on going more than 1 day, get a pass. You can purchase online, then redeem at the ticket office when you come.

HEB (local grocery store) also sells discounted one day passes.

IMHO, I would always opt for my "own package", vs purchasing one. Several hotels to choose from right near Sea World. Don't forget we have (Six Flags) Fiesta Texas as well.

How many people in how many rooms? I'm guessing you could get a decent hotel room for around $100 near Seaworld provided they're not sold out. Yes, Seaworld is crowded during Spring Break.

Basically planning to spend 1 day at seaworld, 1 day at waterpark(if hot enough), and then maybe a day around downtown and riverwalk. Plus pass by the drive-through zoo they have in austin which is on our way.
