I mean, we've lived in this area for a total of nearly ten years, and I swear I've never seen the place open!

It's got some good reviews on UrbanSpoon, but folks are talking about eating breakfast there and it doesn't show it being open in the morning!

I'm seriously confused, I really would like to try it out but every time I drive by the place it's closed!

Cheers! M2

The people I follow on US seem to like it...that would give me a reason to try it.

I think sapphire mentioned she liked it when she lived here in the area. Ask her!

It's good. We ate there once. Just remember if you order tea they only serve it sweet. They didn't tell us and we put sweet n low on top of an excessive amount of sugar and they nearly had to scrape up off the ceiling. Shocked our systems. But the food was OK....we just preferred Las Palapas which was closer to the house anyway.

Thumbs up El Tropiko on Guilbeau

Yes, I've eaten there many times. They used to be open all day..Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner but now they are only open Tues - Sunday 6am - 2pm. They are very nice people & will try to their best to accommodate their patrons. Their food is freshly made when you order & quite tasty. It may not be a "fancy" place but it's well worth the visit. The carne asada burrito/wet is fantastic. Enjoy!!!!

Yep, I tend to agree! I do wish they were open longer during the day, as I found their food to be some of the best in the area!

Cheers! M2

I was very lucky in that they were down the road from us, so it was quite easy to get to. In my opinion, it's some of the BEST Mexican in town. And...the family that owns it are incredibly nice and are very accomodating to requests. So...get out there and support a family run business!!! You won't regret it!

I used to live right down the street and wondered the same thing. I may have to stop in one day and check it out
