Anyone have any input on the Westover neighborhoods? Is this a good area? Upcoming? Etc? I am from out of town and just wanted some info, thanks!

From what I've seen Westover Landing etc. all seem to be quite nice neighborhoods. I've only been here for 5 months but we live near that general area and we're quite happy. It seems to be an up and coming area of town. I believe the West side is the fastest-growing area of the city right now. This leads to some traffic problems as infrastructure catches up to the growth but, overall, I think it's a nice area of town to be.....

Hope that helps. I'm sure you'll hear from some more senior members who can offer more specifics.

I'd call it far west side Midorigreen. The west side is the part you always here about on the news when they're talking about shootings and other lovely things like that..

I dont know what part of town you all are speaking of.. but I live in the Westover Hills Area. And I Love it!! been here 3 years! It is def a developing business area. When u have hopsital's and hotels going up- you know its going to be a investment to buy a home in the area! This is classified as the North West. You do want to stay clear of the WEST side of San Antonio.

Geography lesson: it's NOT the NW side and maybe it's just a pet-peeve of mine and/or I'm being overly OCD about this, but if you take Downtown/Central SA and draw a straight line West, it follows/ crosses 151. I don't know either why they call it "Northwest" Vista College (in fact I couldn't find it on a map for like 5years for that very reason. very embarassing). But I-10 is NW, 151 is West, and Bandera is some awkward place in the middle. Nevertheless, just cause it's outside Loop 410 doesn't change it's compass direction.

I'm just sayin...
