Can anyone recommend a good CrossFit gym, preferably closer to Alamo Heights or up 281? I'd like to buy some sessions for my husband who got really into it for awhile, but it wasn't while we were here in S.A. He wants to do it again but just hasn't had the time to research different gyms. Thanks in advance for any recs!

I think there's one that just opened up at 281/1604. There's also an awesome gym at thousand oaks/henderson pass called The Kick Box. Very similar workout. Cheaper and my opinion is that it's more effective.

I love and adore the guys at 210. I did the bootcamp, not the cross fit, but everyone that does the crossfit are beasts. They have very flexible schedules. They are at 281 and Bitters. I went at 6 and it took just about 10 minutes to get there from 410 and Jackson Keller. So it should be about the same for you.

Okay wow. This was an old thread. But in case anyone needs any insight. There you go.

It's a 45 minute work out. Nothing was ever the same, not even the warm up. He has us do sprints, kettle bell swings, burpees, mountain climbers, tabata like repeated work outs, etc. I really don't think there is a way to describe it. He changes it up pretty regularly. He has also moved to have the 6 am class every day instead of just mwf. I didn't lose any weight in the two months i did it, but did lose some inches (aka boob that has needed to go for a while).
