I think it's because san antonio has grown so big so fast that people are not used to having to wait so long for alight so they run it. That and they are just reckless and impatient.

OH I HATE PPL THAT RUN LIGHTS

you know what I do?? when the light turns green, i hit the gas anyway and then lay on the horn and scare the living hell out of them. It's a bit risky but it gives me a piece of my mind

All I'm gonna say about this is "about a month ago I was a mere 12 inches from being on the ten o'clock news because some little dip#$@% girl driving a small car with three of her boyfriends in it ran a light that was red for at least 10 seconds before I got into the intersection and going at least sixty mph". License revocation recommended..hardship cases..too bad.

Yeah, I think there are a lot of people here that fall into the too dumb to drive category and should have whatever license they've got pulled. Does that cause a problem for them? Too bad, because they're either not bright enough or too inattentive to share the road with everyone else. The judge should give them a bus schedule on their way out of the courtroom.

Just to clarify-- this only applies to tickets issued by red light cameras. Tickets issued on the scene by an officer are pretty hefty (I think it was $275 last time I checked.)
