Default Recycling centers in San Antonio?

I am new to the area and looking for a recycling center. I'm in an apartment complex with no recycling bins available so need somewhere I can drop off at.

I'm near Harry Wurzbach & 410. Any suggestions?

If no one answers on here, you might just try calling 311. They should have the answer for you.

You should definitely call 311 or look in the San Antonio Community Portal website under "Services"

The easiest way to recycle other than curbside recycling is to use the recycling receptacles at the schools. I'm not familiar with the schools in your area, but most schools have the paper recycling "dumpsters" in their parking lots for newspaper, magazines, office paper, and sometimes cardboard.

I just noticed this week at my daughter's school that they have a new receptacle for plastic bottles and (I think) aluminum. I haven't had a chance to inspect it yet. I don't know if other schools are adding this type of recycling, but it would be helpful to apartment dwellers.

The schools use it as a fundraiser.

I had a closer look at the new blue recycling receptacle at the local elementary school and it is only for aluminum cans.

Yeah I have yet to see one for plastic bottles. Maybe they aren't cost effective?
