My husband has the next 2 days off (rare) and we are looking for the best places for lunch with no kids. We want good food that is NOT BBQ or MEXICAN or ASIAN because we already have our regulars.

We don't care if it is a hole in the wall or what not. Please give your suggestions. We've been in San Antonio 1 year and really want to know where you would go to lunch in San Antonio if you could only choose one restaurant? My husband is leaning towards Chris Madrid's for one of the meals.

Thanks in advance!

not BBQ MEXICAN or ASIAN? Good Lord what else is there?

Chama Gaucha if you want fancy. Tip Top Café is popular for their Chicken Fried Steak at lunch. Lately I've been into Sorrento's Italian food off Broadway in Alamo Heights. Good Italian mom and pop place.

Isn't Il sogno Asian and BBQ though? The Cove may be an option as well as many other burger places.

Mr & Mrs G's gets my vote. It is a hole in the wall on WW White Rd but they have the best comfort food around. Love that place

Il Sogno is about as far from BBQ as one can get

It is Andrew Weissman's Italian restaurant in the Pearl Il Sogno Osteria - San Antonio, TX
Incredible food.
