Hello! I am a single mother moving from Michigan to San Antonio, TX! I have two children. A son, 8 and daughter who is 6. We are very excited about moving to the sunshine!! That's what they call it. I know I love San Antonio and all of the culture!

I am looking for some help with good neighborhoods. I have the Relocating Guide to San Antonio but I would like a lil extra help. Where is a good place, fairly priced; as I am a single mom-alone, but that has great environments to raise children?

Looking for:
Good schools
A Boy's and Girl's Club in the area
Reasonably priced housing ( apartments)
Parks
Activities or great opportunities for children on the weekend and even during week

Thanks to anyone who can help!!

What is a reasonable budget? That varies from person to person. The rents in SA are all over the place and a dollar amount will be a better indicator of where to live.
Almost any neighborhood has adequate schools, some better. Activities are numerous for families in almost all the city. The dollar is the driving force.

Default Budget

You're right! Currently I make $10 an hour. I know that most apartment complexes requested 2.5 times income to rent ratio. This might be harder than I thought.
