Who has had experience on this in San Antonio, good or bad?

I've called around and no one will commit to providing a 'factory' windshield.

What about the dealer? I know the cost is high, but I think the dealer is the only place that can provide OEM labeled windshields. There are only a few windshield companies out there that supply OEM labeled as such yet when they sell aftermarket, they will put their own name on it like Safelite.

Check the corner of Dezavala and i10. There are tons of windshield people everywhere under tents.

Ive used both Safelite (on my SHO) and Glass America (wife's Camaro) and had an excellent experience with both. Glass America was $100 cheaper than Safelite when we had to replace the Camaro's. Both came to the house and did the work.

That actually isnt true. In both cases (Safelite and Glass America) I got an OEM windshield that was identical to the one removed. Cant recall the name that my SHO had but the replacement was the identical brand and not "Safelite" branded.

Those are just windshield "repair" places that fix minor chips and small cracks. Not a total replacement of the windshield.
I have used this business inside of Pick and Pull that does nothing but glass replacement.
New glass or if you wish, used from the junk yard.
Both times I have had them replace my windshield with brand new glass from Ford Mo. Company...has the Ford emblem etched into the corner of the glass.
Cost was under $200.00 and they did an excellent job. Took less than hour while I waited.

I've used Safelite numerous times and all have been great transactions. I do specify OEM glass which makes a difference in the quality of the glass. Considering I drive an F 150, the last windshield came in a Ford branded box with Fords name in the glass. Cost me the same deductible on the insurance so might as well opt for the better glass.

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure.

I have had so many great experiences with Safelite, I wouldn't consider using anyone else.
