The plot of land is way to small for an apartment complex. It's more of a pad site.

I think you're talking about what's going in on Stone Oak Parkway between Evan Road and 281?
Going toward 281 first up on the left will be an assisted living center, next on the left is what you are seeing now which is an apartment complex, then closer to 281 on the right is another assisted living center.
Virtually all remaining land in Stone Oak proper is zoned multi-family. Expect more apartments unless someone buys the property and requests a zoning and land use change.
