what would it cost to have a xmas party for 300 people for food and entertainment at a hotel. please help

You need to contact some of the hotels. They have people that specialize in that and they are VERY helpful.

A Rough estimate on 300 ppl is about $25000 give or take about 5-7k depending on hotels.

It depends - what are you going to be serving? Sit down dinner, heavy appetizers? Will it be open bar, or cash bar?

You'll find that most downtown hotels have "minimums" of $20K - $30K. that can include the bar, but not taxes and gratuity. Gratuity is usually about 20%.

For entertainment - again, it depends on what you want. A great DJ will be $700-$1000 for several hours. Bands can be $1500 - 5K+.

You really just need to call some hotels and find out what their costs are. A lot of it will also depend on the night. Fridays & Saturdays are more expensive.
