the 2013 College Football season is getting near, and its never been better. UTSA will enter its 2nd year of NCAA FBS football(3rd year overall) when they open on the road vs the New Mexico Lobos. after that the first home game will be against a FBS powerhouse, the Oklahoma State Cowboys of the Big XII. we are becoming more familiar on the College Football map than ever. if we keep the fanbase growing, and also prevent more from rooting for other teams(mainly the Longhorns). If there are any SA-born college football fans who still root for teams(and didn't attend, don't have close family members attend, and live in their home cities) like UT, A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor, etc; now its the time to give up some of the merchandise, or exchange for the Orange and Blue. its ok if you choose Texas State over UTSA, but the Horns, Aggies, Frogs, etc. leave that to the Alumnus who currently reside here. I want this city to be big time as long as we have UTSA football, as long as we support our Roadrunners as ever before. I want everyone to say.... I LOVE UTSA CAUSE THEYRE FROM MY HOMETOWN OF SAN ANTONIO. GO RUNNERS!

The program is still in its infancy, but with the amount of transplants here, I see the fan base growing. The program will be going through some growing pains, but you have to go through hell to get to Heaven, right? Hey, my favorite college team is the BC Eagles, so there's no conflict here! I went to a couple of games last year and have been an avid UTSA hoop fan since I arrived here in 2006. Let's go Roadrunners!

Roadrunners are going to have their work cut out for them this season. No sub-FBS cupcakes on the schedule and a tougher conference. Having teams from BCS automatic-bid conferences on the schedule is definitely going to get people to their games, because those schools will have a bunch of local alumni.

You must have really high expectations. UTSA went 8-4 last season... their first season in FBS.

Granted, they didn't win a conference title, but winning more games than they lost is an accomplishment that not many programs achieve when they move up a division.

Their games are carried on the Longhorn Network, which is not available on Time Warner Cable.
