Ideas for a "Party Room"
Help! I'm considering starting a new business and may need a place to do my "launch" show (ok, ok, yes, it is a "home party plan" thing, but it's jewelry ~ so I have the excuse of it being in my blood! LOL! ) Anyway, my house is a bit small and in too many stages of remodeling to do it here, so I was trying to think of a place to have it. Unfortunately, our neighborhood doesn't have a "community center", so that's outta the question. Was thinking about seeing if I could rent one of the smaller conference rooms at a hotel or something but concerned that the fee may be prohibitive for me. Anybody have any ideas? It's gonna be on a Saturday, probably in the afternoon, maybe early evening ~ if that helps/hinders.
Thanx in advance!

Are you going to be serving any finger foods?? If so, maybe a restaurant that has a banquet room.
What kind of jewelry??

Canyon Springs Golf Course has rooms, there is a charge but it goes towards your food. I threw a cowboy theme party there and it turned out fantastic. Brenda is in charge of parties and she is really nice!

I know that libraries rent rooms out, conference type rooms. Kind of boring, but some of the libraries have their confererence rooms right inside the door; you don't have to go THROUGH the library.
I believe they rent cheaply and may even be free if you are a member. They are rather drab, but I know, Jules, that you can liven up (and spruce up) any room, sweetie.... LOL.....
ETA... the larger libraries will, of course, have the larger, more versatile, conference rooms.

What about some of the local museums or parks? They often have "classrooms" for educational programs. Maybe the student center at UTSA? Not sure if you have to know a student there...
SOMETIMES, the local builders will "loan" out some of the model homes for events just to bring in traffic. Some condo/apartments might as well...
Just a few thoughts.
