Hi guys!
I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on where there might be meet ups/socializing opportunities in SA for older USAF retirees. I'm talking guys in their 70s, maybe 80s. Just trying to find some people my dad can swap some stories with.

Air Force Village I and II. One is down the 90 from the 410 exchange and the other is down the 410 at the 90 Exchange. Contact them to see if they allow visits. These are private residences and while they are welcoming, you may be intruding on some level. 210-568-5000/3300 are the Front Office numbers. Anyone can call, but they can tell you right off if they do anything on an informal basis. I hope he finds someone he remembers. There are fewer out there with a peer group within that age range.

Good ideas... Thanks guys. The only thing about Air Force Villages is that he was an enlisted man, and those are for officers. Don't know if that makes a difference or not. Appreciate the info!

There are a lot of "older" retirees (I say that because I consider myself one of the "younger" ones!
) volunteering at Wilford Hall Medical Center.
It's a great opportunity to socialize and help others!
Otherwise, may "older" retirees seem to just hang out in the waiting rooms, halls and pharmacies all over WHMC!
