My friends and I was sitting around watching SF and each other getting trashed and came up with this ?????. Since the new generation of women hate to cook will the traditional Holiday meal go away. I guess the whole family will be eating takeout dinners are going to restaurants for Holiday Dinners. Our poor grandsons

I don't know where that came from -

but next week my husband and I are both going to cook the Thanksgiving dinner. He's doing the turkey, potatoes and a cheesecake. I'm doing most of the sides.

Teach your grandsons to cook.

EXACTLY!!! imaterry, it's not just the "new generation of women" that don't like to cook!! It's a new generation of both sexes not liking to cook. How sexist of you to imply that it's "the woman's job" to cook the traditional Thanksgiving dinner! Most homes that I know of, it's a team event.

No, I do not think the traditional holiday meal will go away. I believe there are more women who cook than who DON'T cook.
Besides, why is up to the women to cook, men need to be just as involved. I mean really, they like to eat so why shouldn't they cook? I just wish my husband thought the same way that I do

I disagree too....my daughter and son, both high schoolers, can cook. It would be a diservice to them to teach all the other components of life without teaching the basics of cooking. One day they will be on their own and cooking is a necessity of life

I'm sorry for all of you surrounded by people who don't like to cook. I am 32 and I have always loved it. I've been looking forward for months now to cooking for the holidays.

On the other hand, maybe some of you who don't like to cook do like to clean house? Mine sure needs it. ;-)

I think more men are cooking turkeys nowadays with that hot oil thing. Nothing like a scalding vat of oil to increase the danger factor in Thanksgiving. A whole new meaning to Thanksgiving: at least we didn't have to take him to the emergency room.

Yes, we did that last year for the first time
I can see how that could very easily get out of control.
