So glad your wife wasn't hurt. My mom was almost robbed years ago in a Handy Andy parking lot off SW Military. She and my dad were leaving the store when a guy grabbed her purse. My dad rammed him with the basket and he let go of the purse and ran off. She carried her purse over her shoulder and had a good grip on it, but she fell down and had a few bruises.
Torpedos, I never thought about someone trying to swipe my purse while getting gas. Thanks for that reminder. We all have to be more cautious these days.

Just this year, a woman was robbed at gun point in Highland Park, the incredibly wealthy Dallas neighborhood. I guess that neighborhood is going completely ghetto, huh? #soundlogic

The reality is, crimes of opportunity happen anywhere and everywhere.

I would shoot right through my purse if I needed to.

now you just made me realize where the term

" you get more bang for your buck" came from.

Wth? That's so scary, at least she's ok and it was just her purse! Hopefully he's on video at Target and in the parking lot! I'm pretty sure I witnessed some sort of gang/drug deal activity in the parking lot of the Walmart off 281 in Stone Oak a few weeks back.. I just looked the other way entirely and booked it to my car, got in, locked the doors, and drove away quickly. They saw me but I'm happy they didn't harass me or anything. I kind of just avoid Walmarts now in general :|

wow sorry to hear about this.

I was mugged once back home in London, UK within 5mins (because it happened very close to my door step) my T-mobile account and bank cards came to a halt so they were not usable.

which is why I prefer wearing my cross-body bag so it's always with me, and I don't carry that much with me.

There is something wrong with the credit card companies...I called and asked them for details and all they can tell me is "Target" not even which one, what was purchased or what time...and that was the fraud department!!!

I may be able to get more answers from the "fraud annalist" but I can't call them, I have to wait for them to call me back in 3-5 days. No wonder these scumbags feel they can get away with it if the credit card company won't even help catch them.

The SAPD detective working the case has been great but she needs purchase details to request footage.
