I just noticed those new buses in San Antonio ( well, they are not new, but I didn't see them before).
One after another, after another, and this was on Saturday afternoon.
Those buses are humongous. What is their occupancy rate? Are they at least 30% full on rush hour?

If they're running one after another, they must be mostly filled. VIA is usually quick to slash service where it's not needed. I've seen them mostly filled before the sun even rises coming out of downtown. The routes that these buses replaced were the busiest. They would always run behind and sometimes would be filled to capacity even though they had buses running every 15 min. What amazes me is how the bus drivers seem to effortlessly maneuver those things through downtown.

Oh, that's great!! They are very modern and comfortable. Yes, driving those long beasts must be a PITA.
I saw their bus stops, also very nice.

Were you near a park and ride or downtown? It may have been for the UTSA game.
