Wow...now you HAVE to go to the next meet and greet so we can REALLY meet up!

P.S...I was HOPING those tatoos were the stick on types!!! LOL They DID seem to be having fun tho...my friend said that they were the same group that was there the same night she saw Menopause the Musical and that they were a riot then too!!

I think it would be fun of the Cameo had like the Majestic does where you can get your season tickets and seats (and seat pads!!!)

dylinn is on a distinguished road
There are many theatres in San Antonio offering a wide variety of entertainment. The San Antonio Theatre Coalition (SATCO) lists approximately 35 theatres or producing entities and publishes a weekly newsletter, the Playbill, to let you know what is showing: satheatre.com/playbill

OK; the last poster beat to it.

Also, if you don't mind driving a little bit there are two GREAT theatres a little farther afield.

There's one in Georgetown that does a lot of productions each year and every one we've attended has been top notch.

Straight up US 281 in the little town of Marble Falls (actually the theatre is in Cottonwood Shores) is the Hill Country Community Theatre.

They only produce 5 or 6 shows per year but we've never been disappointed. I think because of their demographics (Horsehoe Bay and Marble Falls both have a LOT of retirees) they tend to do more "classics" and not any avant garde things.

But in the last few years we've seen:

South Pacific
The Sound Of Music
Beauty and the Beast
Tom Sawyer (musical)
Lend Me A Tenor
The Hobbit

For such a small market they always attract a lot of talent. I recall that in the first 2 or 3 plays we attended the cast included several people with movie and TV credits (lots of filming in the Austin area) and a few with professional backgrounds in song and dance.

I think their website is HCCT dot ORG. Tickets are reasonable priced, they have some "2 for 1" Wednesday shows and they do Sunday matinees so no worry about long drives after dark.
