Good luck in finding one, SA not really know for the arts. San Pedro Playhouse really tries. Catch something at the Magestic when it comes thru town.

Jump Start theatre - tends to be more experimental type work.

We just saw the Great American Trailer Park Musical at the Cameo tonight and it was hilarious. Don't know what your taste is - it is very slapstick-type comedy. VERY talented performers

Cameo is downtown off Commerce, across from Ruths Chris.. We parked at Sunset Station (ate at Aldacos and walked).

No way...we went last night too! That was SO DARN FUNNY!!! I laughed harder than I have in a long time...the preformers were fantastic and I just LOVE the expressions on Norberts face the entire play! I would HIGHLY recommend going to see this...only complaint I had was the chairs are not that comfortable, but if you look on the left side of the theater just before you step down from the enterance/bar area to the theater seating area, there are "kitchen" type chair pads for the taking all stacked up on some chairs against the wall...grabbed one at the intermission and it was MUCH better! This show was so cute, and the performers so talented, I am thinking of dragging my husband down to see it (and you must admit, at last nights show there was a LOT of estrogen (or at least replacement therapy) going on!!!!) Runs thru the end of December and I think you would really enjoy it (yeppers, even you guys!!!)

Check out the Vex theater at the JCC (Barshop Jewish Community Center of San Antonio - Barshop Jewish Community Center of San Antonio) , or any of the plays at Trinity University.

Paka,

you weren't sitting in row B, were you??? There were several ladies behind us that got a chair pad at intermission and I remember one saying "oh, that's much better!" We were in row A seats 10-12.

I made the mistake of not getting up at intermission and walking around.

Yes, lots and lots of estrogen there! LOL

I couldn't decide who's face I liked better, "Norbert's" or "Lins'"!! LOL And boy they could all sing sooooo well, but the best was by far "Jeannie".

We couldn't decide what exactly the "blue" outfit scene was all about just before intermission, but regardless, it had to be one of the funniest parts!!!!!!

"Make like a nail and press on!" (yes, it is corny but sooooo funny)

LOL! Yeppers, that was us...B 9 & 10!!! Were you with that group...I LOVED their teeshirts and the beercap earrings...I don't know what kind of group they were (friends, co-workers, buncko, etc)...but they were a hoot! Looks like something I might want to join! Small world, sitting right behind you!!! Too bad we did not realize that fate brought us that close together and we did not get to actually meet...maybe next time! (and that was me saying "you would think with all this God given padding I would not need this darn chair pad"! My friend is MUCH skinner, she has good reason to have needed to get that extra padding for the second half of the show.

I agree, that blue gettup song and portion had me laughing so hard I could barely breath!

WOW, it really is a a small world!!! That is amazing that not only did you sit behind us, but that we spoke!! LOL

I wasn't with that t-shirt group - beer cap earrings and tattoos are probably a bit much for me! But they were really cute

I was with a group of about 12 friends but we were spread out over the first three rows. I was sitting with a friend - we look alot like - same age, same type of hair. She had a cream sweater on and I had a blue floral top on

Anyway, that is just too funny. I remember you guys going and getting the chair pads and sitting down - I thought, "they were so smart to bring those" I didn't realize they were handing them out in the back!
