Default SA Job offer, I need help!

So me and my family went to San Antonio, and of course we fell in love with it . We especially liked the Boerne area and the NW area as well as parts of the Stone Oaks area.

Well I've been offered a position in either SA or Austin. If I choose SA my office would be in NW area (10 & 1604 area), but my clients would mostly be located from the NW SA to New Braunfels/Seguin area. That being the case it seems like anything going towards Boerne to live would be a drive if I have to do a lot of visits into the New Braunfels area.

Is the 1604 to 35 drive that bad as far as traffic? I could see that the 281 north of the 1604 could be a pain once it starts getting around rush hour so I'm a bit apprehensive about getting to far north in Stone Oaks as well. Any hidden gems of neighborhoods that would be more centrally located? Looking for someplace with lots of trees, parks, community pool and convenient shopping.

Thanks for your help.

Hollywood Park, Shavano Park area would be tremendous for you. Try to say inside the 1604 loop but close enough to it if your concern is traffic.

If you lived in Boerne, you could take Hwy 46 from there to New Braunfels and the highway goes on to Seguin. Nice drive, though longer mileage.

A lot of people live in Boerne but work in San Antonio so the traffic's still heavy at times. The Stoneoak area is also very congested.

I have always heard that Stone Oak was a big traffic area. There is a lot of retail and people in Stone Oak. Maybe the hub for North SA.
