Default Football Jerseys

A buddy of mine in the UK asked me to find him a black Raiders AFC football jersey with the number ‘81’ on it. Seems like a simple request, but I haven't been able to find one. He said it doesn't necessarily have to be a Raiders jersey, a black on with the number '81' on it would do; but he preferred a Raiders jersey.

Anyone know a good shop in S.A. that may have either?

Cheers! M2

Your best bet would be to order it online. Number 81 of the Raiders is the now retired great Tim Brown, a very nice gift would be an authentic jersey. If your not looking to spend much get a replica jersey those run under $100. It would be hard to find one in SA because he is now retired and there isnt a big Raider market out here. If you REALLY want to save a buck buy a used one from Okland's Craigslist.

This one is nice cause it has the NFL 75th year anniversary patch, Tim wore this in 1994.

This one is even better.

Thanks, I haven't heard back from him but those jerseys are probably a bit above his expected price range. I may just have to find a local shop that has black jerseys and get the number '81' on them. The connection is not with Tim Brown but of the USAF unit that used to be at the base where he works in the museum.

Does anyone know of a good sports shop that sells jerseys?

Cheers! M2

The NFL regulates those. To have a "Raiders" jersey with 81 on it, it'll be a Tim Brown jersey or nothing.

You might be able to go to a sports store or silkscreening place to get one made, but you will not find a licensed one unless it's a "Brown" jersey. Even the replicas.

Sorry, I wasn't clear; I meant a generic black jersey with the number '81' on it, not a Raiders jersey...I think a generic one should be relatively easy to find, shouldn't it?

Cheers! M2

OK, change of plan, my bud doesn't want to pay the money for an NFL jersery, so I am looking for someplace that sells plain, black football jerseys. Any ideas?

Cheers! M2
