I do not shop at WalMart because of the way they treat their employees and the enviroment. For more info,

WAL-MART: The High Cost of Low Price

Not to mention they did not treat me well as a consumer when I was spending a lot of money there.

Treat their employees?? Let me guess, the employees are upset because they don't get heath insurance. NEWSFLASH!! You're working a job that doesn't even require a high school diploma. What makes you think Wal-Mart should provide their employees healthcare? Oh, I know, they make so much money they should just provide it.

People WANT stuff cheap. You cannot fault Wal-Mart for giving people what they want.

As for these "Speacial/Secret" sales all these retailers have, I'm always amazed at the clowns who camp out to be first in line for something. Is your time really worth so little that you will camp out to save a hundred bucks on something? If so, I think its time to find a new career.

I suppose everyone is entitled to their personal belief about a company or its way of doing business....but I have several friends that work at Walmart and they are all happy with the company and what it has to offer to them in the way of a job. Two are quite a bit older with no work experiences (both were stay at home moms who raised their families back in the day when very few women worked outside the house) and now work as greeters and LOVE it. Not only does it supplement thier very limited income, but it also gives them a sense of purpose and is a great social outlet as so many older folks sit home and become depressed because of financial or loneliness issues. One is also very handicapped and has been hired as a "helper" assisting folks with where to find things, she is in a wheelchair, but knows where EVERYTHING in that store is located by heart and has become the "go to" person for both customers and staff in her store! I think we need to acknowledge that Walmart, while it may have it's faults, is a store that will allow just about ANYONE who WANTS to work the opportunity to find something of a job. I doubt that another company would have hired these folks given their lack of training or skills, especially beyond a certain age level...businesses are just too bottom line oriented these days. Also have a friend that is a dept mgr and she loves her job equally...sure there are some grumples about this or that (who doesn't dislike SOMETHING about their job from time to time???) but my personal experience has been those that want to work like the fact Walmart looks for a way to employ them.

I hear you. I won't even drive into San Antonio on the weekend following Thanksgiving. I don't think it is worth it for the little amount that you save. But that is just me, I am not a crowd person.
It is however going to be a good weekend for sitting in a deer blind

HURRAY FOR WALMART!!! My favorite store in the USA. One stop shopping. Too bad I'm in Europe where everything is overpriced, especially the way the dollar is deteriorating worldwide. Walmart.com is outstanding, though.

I love Wal-Mart!

People have exaggerated Wal-Mart being "bad".

If you complain about Wal-Mart having factories which are unsafe in China, then why not complain about all of the other U.S. and worldwide retailers that also have factories in China...

Because they are an easy target. Look at any very successful company and you will see they are all subject to the same criticism. Whether it be Microsoft, McDonalds or Exxon, they are all, accorinding to some, the Devil.
