CPS Energy Outage Map

"4 Outages affecting 4 Customers"

I'd say the odds are against any of the other 3 being here.

I'm in Stone Oak along Hardy Oak Blvd. My subdivision lost power from around 2 to 2:30pm. I thought it was odd given there are no storms in the area.

Yea I'm in Stone Oak too, it was really random! I wasn't sure if it was a local thing or just my complex. I'm glad it came back on quickly at least. I wonder what it was.

There were quite a few outages last night due to the weather. Several stations said it happened on the far west side of the city.

No loss at our house off SO Pkwy. Husband said his mother lost power on far NW side. With 2 kids, 6 cats (stray mommy and 4 babies in our garage until old enough to adopt out + my own rescue kitty) and husband out of town I'm so glad it wasn't my neighborhood that lost power.

That CPS site doesn't always reflect all the outages, nor does it show past outages that have been resolved.

Power outages are usually very localized, we have lost power while the next block over everything is fine.

There are a variety of reasons for them, but luckily we haven't had a long outage since an ice storm several years back when I was about ready to send the family to a hotel as the house got so cold.
