Monte Vista is becoming quite "progressive" to use the code word, but the homes are pricey.

San Pedro Ave from Basse to Downtown, Bandera/Fredericksburg/N. Zarzamora (Woodlawn) 89 Donaldson route. It's where the very red looking HEB is. Has some S. Lamar, maybe a little Riverside flair.

It's been awhile since I have been out there in that area.

But of course, Walzem road (before they redid the road) used to remind me of Rundberg. But the neighborhood of Marbach and 410 also reminds me a little bit of Rundberg (businesses, how the run the power lines, and street lights)

A lot of arterial streets the serve crosstown Via Routes remind me of W William Cannon for example, Huebner, Cable Ranch, W. Bitters.

St Joseph's Parkway Eastbound of Burnet Road, and Kingsland Eastbound of Eisenhower kind of look a like same street and ditch divider along with the old wooden steak and lights.

well, are you moving to SA? if you are, you wont find places like that here really. the broadway area maybe, but thats about it. SA (thankfully) is nothing like that craphole called austin that i lived in for almost 2 decades.. 2 decades i wish i could have back.

Perhaps. If someone asked me which city has more garbage, well the "folks" here wouldn't like my answer. But like you put it....different strokes for different folks.

Hi KM1174, Yes I am planning to move to SA in the next month or so. I lived in Austin in the late 90s, early 00s and liked it a lot. Different strokes for different folks, as another poster said. I'll focus on the Broadway area, as you suggested.

Anyway, I had a feeling it was probably a mistake to bump up an old post--my bad!
