Hi ya'll! Just wondering what types of dangerous animals and critters are in the area? We plan on moving to the san antonio area or a surrounding area when we sell our property we area currently in sc. I guess we have some here and luckily the only thing I've run across is fire ants
(they get me everytime) and black widows

Depends on where you move to.
If you're in the city, you pretty much don't have to worry about anything except roaches and maybe some rats depending on how you take care of the house.
If you pick a more rural area, you might encounter snakes, coyote, spiders, etc/
Nothing very dangerous.
In my honest opinion, you have pretty much nothing to worry about.
Do you know where you'll be moving to?

looking for my spot
new braunfels or canyon lake look good,looking for a friendly town low crime close to things to do and plentiful job opportunities without being in the hub bub of a big city,pretty much what most everyone else is looking for. Also where home prices aren't through the roof and the average working person can afford to live. The way home prices are you would think everyone was loaded,if so they skipped over me in line

San Antonio and its metro areas (including Canyon Lake and New Braunfels) are the cheapest housing costs in all of the nation for large metro areas.

There's no place in San Antonio that would be you tension for being a mixed couple.
San Antonio is one of the most desegregated cities in the nation.
Sure there are racists still living but you'll encouter than very rarely in SA.

Do you have those annoying No-See-Ums a.k.a. Midge Flies, Sand Flies, Gnats that bite you especially around 5-6 pm? We have them here in SC and I know they have them in Ga. and Fla. too. Just curious...
