I did search the forum and found a few threads but none of them had the answer nor were they bumpable to ask the question....so here it is. What time does it start? I threw away my paper and called to ask and unfortunately throwing away the paper does not exempt you from jury duty. I forgot to ask when it starts though. Is it 8? thnx!

I'm pretty sure it is 8am, but you can probably find that info on the county website.

Nope. It's not there. That's why I asked here. 8 sounds right and was what time I thought it started.

Yes, the County is 8:00 AM, except on Mondays, I think there is also an afternoon call.

I don't know what happens if you lost your paper summons. You have to take it with you and turn it in when you enter the Central Jury Room, as that confirms you reported for duty.

8:00 AM is when it starts. You will want to show up earlier than that, maybe 7:30 if you want to get space in the Bexar County parking garage (free with jury duty validation). Once you get in the jury room they will make a call for people that misplaced their jury summons and you just need to see their clerk and to get a duplicate printed out.

Edit: 8am on Mondays as well, nothing starts in PM.

The Bexar County Parking Garage isn't free, it is $2 with Juror validation. That's what I paid when I served a few months ago.

I got called for service on a Monday morning several years ago. They told us there was also an afternoon Juror call on Modays only, due to the high volume of new trials that start on Mondays. Maybe that isn't the case anymore. That was the only time I got called on a Monday, and I got called that morning in one of the pools, so I wasn't in the Jury Room in the afternoon to see what happened.
