They would make less mess since they would only to be able to shop for what they could schlepp onto the Monty Express instead of cramming their Range Rovers full of tax-free goods.

A train would also mean that more of them would come as pedestrians and increasing the incidence of having them stop on the sidewalk right in front of you to chat or take pictures and forcing you to walk around their created obstacles. Some are simply clueless to shared space and not blocking pathways.

Such are the advantages and disadvantages of high speed rail line into the interior.

The problem with that is that kind of behavior is normal there in Mexico so it would not be viewed as abnormal behavior. You should even bring along an nanny in hospital garb to make the picture complete.

No they don't need the train to act like jerks. They come over in SUVs and act like jerks anyways.
