If CNN ran a clip on Disney coming to San Antonio don't you think maybe one of the local news agencies would have picked up on it? If Disney ever announced they were going to build a park in San Antonio trust me, you'd know it! Lets just enjoy FT and SW until then.

Two theme parks is plenty. What this town really needs are more jobs like the Toyota jobs, not another set of seasonal service jobs with mediocre pay.

Disney is considering their "Blue Sky" concept. If you do a search on the internet you will find a few articles about it. I'll include a link to a couple of the articles.

Magical Mountain - Disney News - Disney To Start Work On Some of It's Blue Sky Project (http://www.magicalmountain.net/WDWNewsDetail.asp?NewsID=1438 - broken link)

Mickey News °o° - Fact or Fiction: Disney's Eyeing North Texas (http://www.mickeynews.com/News/DisplayPressRelease.asp_Q_id_E_2157Texas - broken link)

Hope this helps,

I think it would be safe to say that San Antonio would be glad to have any new jobs come here no matter what type of service. San Antonio does not have enough skilled workers for another High Quality maufacturing Plant, so we will take any new employers.

I definately agree. Especially with the population growing, these seasonal jobs are perfect for students and teachers and so many more. Any job is better than no job.

Back in the 80s there was a rumour Disney was considering a move to the Las Colinas area, I don't know how reliable that was, or the source of the rumor. It was said they purchased property and then changed their mind.

I read in the paper today that a developer got a speedy agreement from a utility company(BexarMET)around the Briggs Ranch golf course community area .This utility agreement involves a 487-acre development and it took only 23 days ,similar agreements took no less than 9 months to complete. The agreement also lacks many details that others developers are required to provide and according to the newspaper the speed and lack of detail with which the agreement was approved are rare,if not unheard of.
Perhaps it's just a coincidence,but I think it could be Disney !
