These Disney rumors have been going on for years for more than just San Antonio. We must wait and see if they are actually true, and what city in Texas they will go to.

Default News would be all over it

I am sure if Disney, or anyone else were planning on building anything in SA, the news would be making a big deal, Perry would be making appearences, and southsiders would be protesting. If anything, it will be a call center for reservations, or nothing at all.

Well yeah, I think it would be a big deal after the fact but its not. Yes we have all heard about this in the past but just recently outside this forum i've heard they are coming. Call center? Maybe, who knows. But as far as the Protesters on the southside? you can count on that..

When Disney decided and began to build a park in the middle of Florida, there was nothing there to support a theme park. The support was built with it and has continued to grow with the expansion of the park and the addition of MGM to the area.
It went from Parrot Jungle all by itself, to a magalopolis.
It could happen again in South Texas.

Or East Texas, or anywhere except out near El Paso. I think it could happen, but it would happen closer to a large metropolis like Houston or the Central texas Area (Austin and San Antonio plus their suburbs).

I could see this now. It would be a Goofy idea, so he would be the President. However, since this would be a Mickey Mouse operation, he would be the CEO. Donald Duck could handle all the "quack" calls. Porky Pig could handle all the speech impediment calls. Bugs Bunny could handle all the Elmer Fudd calls. And, all irate customers would be switched over to Pluto for barking up the wrong tree!

Its actually a completely different organization building it. It just always bothered me that all those people protested when a golf course would be ten times better for the environment than thousands of houses that could be easily built there. And the fact that there is no credible proof that it would affect the aquifer in the first place. It basically comes down to southsiders sticking it to those rich white people from the northside.
