My family and I moved to San Antonio about 18 months ago, and are now in the process of finding a home. Someone suggested we check out a new housing development by Calaveras Lake (Lakeview Ranch and Stuart Estates), and we really liked the model home by Inland. We are not familiar with this part of San Antonio or the builder. Has anyone worked with Inland Homes before? Also, can anyone comment on the schools in that area? We have a daughter that would be attending Oak Crest Intermediate for one year, then Heritage Middle School, and later East Central High. Any info on the schools, or the area more generally, would be greatly appreciated!

i worked on those houses, and they are nice.they use nice cabinets, trim and tile flooring.i know they been selling fast.mostly oilfield people.nice single story spacious layouts.another one thing to consider is they dont build no privacy fencing.youd have to build your own or split it with a neighbor.
i love the views and area.i know there is no walmart or shopping near.also dont know much about the are or schools. but i do know youre out in the boonies.

Thanks, Cabguy. That's all very helpful. They actually do include the privacy fence now, so we won't have to buy our own. We don't mind that it's in the boonies either, in fact we prefer that, but if anyone can tell me where the nearest grocery store is that'd be great.

HEB & Walmart are either at Brools City Base or Floresville. Brooks City Base would be closest.
