Went to Costco this am to pick up the prime rib...asked the manager and HE said that they have heard the rumor as well about the "151" area store coming...but he was quick to point out he had no confirmation...but I am THRILLED that they too have heard something! I'm COUNTING on it!!!

wonder if it's legal to hold signs in a parking lot saying we don't want you ? this shopping center seems like it's going to be total trash. That was really nice of the owners..

I so agree...I am PRAYING that they find this area very non-producing and decide to cut their losses....otherwise tell me when and I will join you in the sign campaign!

It would be interesting to see who they are catering to and maybe use that against them.. according to the demographics I've seen most households in the area are making at least $80K+/year and one even had it at an average of $130K+. Those aren't exactly your average patron of a check cashing place..

What the hell is an EZ Loan? Is that like a pawn shop? I pray they don't build any dollar stores!

Usually the dollar stores and the check cashing places go hand in hand, so I would expect to see that combo soon out there.

We have a Dollar Tree and a check cashing place at Tezel/Grissom/Culebra. But this area has been built up for many years, and it's a mixed bag as far as income levels, etc.

I just drive by them, although I will admit to going to Dollar Tree when I need gift bags.

FYI, just dropped by Which Wich and Double Daves (right next to each other in the Super HEB center). Was hoping to see an "Opening <date>" sign, but no such luck... they're both in the plywood counter supports/concrete floor/suspended ceiling framing stage still. Both websites say "coming soon". I'd say a month or two at least still... bummer.
