I have a question though...do you tip and why? They don't bring it to your table and the owner was the one who waited on me? Just wondering? (fyi-I did, just wasn't sure the reasoning behind it)
I don't, but then I just went in and grabbed it and took it home.

So, what did you decide on?? the french dip sounds gooooooood!

Would try again tonite since DH just landed (called from the airport, so at least he is back in town) but we are off to the AT&T for Circ Del Souil tonite, so think we will stop at La Tuna and have a funky little dinner. I like that place!

luckygreeniii ~ that's a good question!! I noticed the tip line on the credit card receipt, and I always (well almost) automatically add a tip, so absentmindedly I did. However, my sandwich did get delivered to my table. But I think that's because it was our neighbor kid and he was just sucking up! (He's an Eddie Haskell kinda guy. LOL!)

I got the gyro! It was sooooo good. I almost wish I would have gotten two. (even though one was plenty) Ordered a grinder for my husband to eat when he gets home and the girls had pizzas & grilled cheese. I was a little worried what I would come home with because the girls are such a distraction! LOL! They just wanted to color their bags!

yep, they toast all of the sandwiches, kinda like Quiznos. "Eddie Haskell" told me that he thinks they will skip the toasting if you ask them to.

so has anyone tried the montecristo? that sounds absolutely disgusting... the gyro, Cuban, grinder, and meatball all sound really good. Only problem is I still can't eat anything.. been up since 12:30 and even the thought of eating is making me feel sick. this thing needs to go away soon

I was really curious about the montecristo, too. When I was young I use to eat them all the time at the restaurant in the store I worked at. 'Cept I think they were made differently ~ it was a ham, turkey and cheese sandwich that was then dipped like french toast and cooked on the griddle. And it was served with syrup. Man, I loved those sandwiches!!

We ate there again today - I had to have my tuna salad sandwich fix, since Sips hasn't reopened yet. We DID go by and visit with them tho, their new place is looking good!! They've been working very hard to get the new place ready to open - and it shows!

Soccermom2, worth a rep! We have too many friends with breast cancer, or family members with cancer. It's heartbreaking. Some good friends of ours (2) recently lost a sister and a mother to cancer.

If I can talk the boss (wife) into it, maybe we'll hit you up for one of those coupon books!
