Yeah to bad this area that we thought was out in the boonies a few years ago is getting piopulated by all the transplants that have discovered SA and it's economy. Pretty soon there is not going to be any "country" to go to. Kind of sad I think but that is progress. Keep in touch.

Well, hey there stranger!! Yeah, we're ready to move. Hopefully DH will make MSgt in June and we'll get an assignment...hoping to head back overseas--thinking maybe Japan. Nothing against SA--have loved it...it's just growing too fast for our taste. Our daughter will be heading to Stevens HS next year and am not thrilled they are going to have 600 students over what it was originally intended for.

By the way, I finally got picked back in civil service and start working at Fort Sam on Monday. Hoping that with this I can move over to Lackland at some point and be much closer.

((Hijack over))

Nothing anytime soon. They hurry up and clear the area, then it sits vacant and the weeds start growing. I have seen this many times throughout the years around here. For example, how many times has the 5 acres on Potranco, sandwiched between houses in the Spring Vistas subdivision, been developed and then a new for sale sign goes up?

I heard at one time there was supposed to be a townhome development going in.

My wife and I drove down the new Wiseman cont’ from Talley coming towards 1604. (just enough space in the barricade) It is actually complete and you can tell it has been freshly mowed. There is clearing all throughout but no definitive roads branching off. There is also a stack of tires on the left hand side. (no doubt we were not the only to be there prematurely) Based on my trip odometer, it spans approx 2.5 miles. We could not go all the way to 1604 in fear of getting in trouble. One thing I can say is that it is very hilly.

My guess is that they will open this road when the remaining Northbound section is repaved, including the East side of the Wiseman/Loop 1604 intersection. Did you notice that there are no guardrails on either side of that steep incline/decline (depending on which way you're heading)? How long before someone goes down one of the embankments?

I heard on the radio yesterday (a real estate show with Mike Hermes) that the Culebra/Potranco/1604 quadrant is the hottest real estate market in the United States!

Amazing! But I believe it! (Which is in large part why I located my business where I did! )
