We also ate there last night, and I completly agree with you. Everything was very nice, and I prefer the set-up of this one over the one at Culebra/1604 as this one has a seperate sitting area in the front. I imagine how crowded it will be after the football games, since last year we had to share the Culebra Taco Cabana with Taft, which made it VERY crowded (and awkward when they beat us that night...). I think my husband is more excited about the Whataburger, and my son is about ready to see if he can assist the Burger King folks in speeding it up a bit. Okay, now we need a Marble Slab and a bookstore and I promiss I won't ask for anything else!

(Evega- no problem

ha ha, I was hoping a lost family of snails could help Burger King out.. I seriously have never seen anything constructed that slow. The walmart seemed to sprout up in two days and that Burger King has been in progress for something like 20 years now?

Default Starbucks really worth the loop-de-loop?

Okay, so I usually pull out of Russeau taking a left onto Potranco then a left onto 1604. Exactly HOW am I supposed to get to Starbucks and out again without putting 10 miles on my car??? I could almost drive to the 151 location easier!!
Hmph. Can't wait until Panda opens. Now if I can just convince myself that I actually WILL ride my bike to run my errands and get take-out, I'll actually lose the weight that these new food places are adding on!

All you have to do is turn into the entrance right before the Wells Fargo. Go up that little road and turn into Starbucks. When you go to leave, just take the same little road out. You can then turn right on Potranco and make your left turn on to 1604. That is what I do in the morning when I go to Taco Cabana. I'm not about to go all the way down to the turn around. See if this works for you! Good luck...

Use the entrance/exit off of Potranco that goes into the Pei Wei area. It connects to the Starbucks area!

Hey a friend of mine from work is in that club - just recently stepped down as chairman IIRC....

re: Cupcake Junction...I was curious and my son's b-day party was coming up, so I checked it out. Four dz. medium cupcakes cost $46. A bit steep. That's for a walk-in order, BTW, not anything custom decorated. They were good, but not great, and most of the adult party attendees said they think HEB is as good if not better. They tasted more homemade to me, which is a plus over HEB, etc.

They are local and family-owned, which I always prefer to support over chain retail, unless the folks there give me a good reason not to. The store was clean and I was served promptly and politely. They were excited about their new business, and I hope they do well, though I suspect they will review their pricing before long.
