ha ha, riiiight.. my kids are WAY too cool to socialize with us "old" people.. would be nice to have a store to yourself though. My son is applying for a stock job @ Kohls and I wouldn't mind getting his discount.. besides, the unlimited free Red Lobster (where he works now) biscuits are getting really old.. I used to love those things and now I can't stand the smell of them..

When they open up, how are you going to tell the difference between "employee looking cars" and "customer looking cars"? Worse yet, they could park near the front and "blend" with the customers' cars!

YUM! Those biscuits are the greatest! That is the main reason I go there since I do not eat seafood, except for fried clams. Now for the rest of the day I will be thinking about those biscuits.

or you could just meet my son in the parking lot when he gets off work and he'll give you an entire bag..

I never thought I would get sick of those things, but I did.. although seafood sounds really good right now.. Maybe Sea Island or something

Thank you for the recipe, Paka. I will have to try making them this week. Sea Island made me mad when they stopped serving fried clams. I love their slaw and hush puppies, but without the clams, well..... I mean really now, the darn things are frozen, so how hard could it be to offer them on the menu?

rd2007, do they really make and have that many left over? Incredible since EVERYONE is always eating so many of them. Wow.

it's not that they make that many, it's just the one thing they give the employees an unlimited supply of and they're free. I do know that the cold ones don't taste a thing like the ones you get fresh and hot at your table.. that could have something to do with it.

and speaking of fried clams, I picked up two boxes of them at the Crossroads Super Target today. They had them reduce priced to $3.84 for a 20 oz. box and I LOVE clams. Sucks that Sea Island doesn't serve them anymore, but I think most people don't like them just because of what they are. I had a hard time getting my kids to try them, but once they did they really liked them.

I'm still looking for somewhere for dinner. I wrote a post about it in the favorite restaurants thread and listed a bunch of restaurants from the Dining Out guide

They also opened the side entrance that leads to 1604 behind the Diamond Shamrock. (Valero)

Oh Joy! Just what we need. More traffic entering northbound lanes of Loop 1604W. People departing Valero won't have a chance.
