I would consider Trophy Ridge safe....and it's a great location - within walking distance to a grocery store etc.

You may also want to check out Stonecreek, which is in the same area. The builder is Armadillo and the homes are very reasonable and of good quality. We are currently renting in the area and have, so far, been pretty pleased.

My advice would be to rent a home first. Once you get here and get settled you can then choose the neighborhood with the "perfect" fit for you. We're so glad we didn't buy before moving as we keep discovering new areas that we love....

The two neighborhoods I"ve mentioned would be good choices for rentals - there are several in those areas.

Good luck with the move!

My in-laws live in Trophy Ridge and really like it...nice, friendly neighbors and pretty safe (at least I've heard no complaints). We wish we had bought in there rather than where we are now but when we looked at Trophy Ridge we just couldn't wait...houses were done, but no electrical/cable/etc run to the homes yet and it was going to be another 3 months (that was over 3 years ago)...

hehe...*my* home in Westcreek is on the market, if you're interested!!

Westcreek has been good to us, we haven't had any issues living here. The area behind Westcreek is being developed, but it looks to be a positive thing. Traffic everywhere is becoming increasingly difficult, BUT, stores/retailers are popping up everywhere, so at least you won't have to drive far to get to anything...

Can anyone give us some info on houses built by Pulte in Grandview? It would be greatly appreciated! By the way, how is the traffic around there?

Anyone know whats going in across Culebra from the HEB and frontage stores?

I called Santikos Headquarters and they said that they are still planning to build Granada here. However, the project will not start until they finish the theater in Houston. So it will be some time next year.

I know someone that is looking to open a Wing Stop franchise. Since they live in that area, they were looking to open one in the Potranco/1604 area, but were told there is already a plan to open a Wing Stop in that area. Anyone heard of this and/or where it will be exactly?

I believe there's one going in the AR shopping center, not positive though. It's on one of those maps I linked to earlier
