Last time I was down, I saw the WingStop sign in the shopping strip near Pei Wei (Potranco Village)...maybe it's moved now?? It still shows it in the plans on the Barshop & Oles site....

Sheesh, Potranco and 1604 must be the red headed step child for Santikos Theaters...the Granada was announced before the new theater at The Rim and before the Houston ones but here it is more than 2 years after being announced and it's still not even close to being finished or opened.

I was driving from Marbach to Potranco on 1604 the other day and I noticed a large construction area back where the new movie theater is supposed to be built. I went by so fast I couldn't tell if it was indeed the theater or a new school. Has anyone else seen it and if so do you know what it is. You can see in as soon as you're on the the bridge where all of the new dirt is.

I can see that too from 1604 driving home from 90 every afternoon...looks like it might be a school from the little I can see. HUGE structure with a crane hovering over it.

I don't believe it's a school site because the only school listed on the NISD website at this time in that area is in Trophy Ridge just south of the new HEB Plus...and the SWISD, which includes that area inside 1604 near Wolf Creek and Big Country, has no new schools listed or planned on their website at this time.

Could that be the movie theater site for Santikos...or at least the beginnings of it??

Wow...if it is the theater, it is going to be HUGE!!! Anyone driving north on 1604 from 90, take a look for the crane and you can see HUGE pillars.

I saw that crane from Loop 1604 and went around onto Potranco. The crane is hovering over the new NISD Nora Forester Elementary School being built on Rousseau (Trophy Ridge) that will open in 2008. The artist's rendition has parts of the school being 2-story so that would be the pillars.

Is the school right off 1604 because the way everyone is describing the location, you can almost turn right off the loop into the development with the pillars. I thought the school was more "inland" and on the other side of the houses closer to HEB and not accessible to 1604. Now I'm confused...
