I think the Santikos is going further *down* 1604, not between the gas station and HEB. If you take a look at the bcad.org map, that land around the gas station is owned by HEB, the Santikos land is further down 1604.

Thanks for the info RedOregon. Can you assist me in navigating the bcad.org website to find this info?

Thank You 940 for the information. I live in Keller, north of Fort Worth and my husband and I are moving in January to SAT. We are building a house in the subdivision of Red Bird Ranch. I am really exited to here of all the stores going up in that area. I was hesitant to leave the Keller/Southlake area, being so beautiful here with all the new stores and resturants and also Central Market. I am happy about Costco, my favorite store. Thanks again for the info.

At one point within a year or two ago, I remember seeing an architectural drawing that had a Lowe's planned for the empty plot of land just to the east of the new HEB Plus. I can't find anything on that supposed development now but I would think that a home improvement store, whether it was Lowe's or Home Depot, would still be planned in the general area.

And glad I was able to offer up some good info, Lucy48...but there are plenty of folks on here that all contribute greatly which helps to make this a great site!

Sure.

Go to www.bcad.org and click on "Property Search" in the upper right. This brings you to a page where you can search on several different things; I usually use my name and cruise around from there, because I live in this area, but for the sake of teaching, let's use a different one here.

Change the search type to "Property Address" and just toss in "Potranco" in the search area. Take a look at the results; you'll see Madison's Market in there. I seem to remember seeing something in the thread about that, so click on "Map" over on the right; now we're to the good part.

Notice how you have lots laid out now, all around the Potranco/1604 intersection. Look up near the top of the map; you have several tools there. You can zoom in and out, drag the map around, but for our purposes the little "i" in the blue circle is key. Click on that, and when it's ready, you can click on any property and get the info on it. That's how I found out which lot is owned by who.

Sometimes the site runs slow; patience is a key when working with government sites

Last I heard was that Red Bird Ranch is supposed to have 8,000 homes. Add another 5,000-6,000 of Steven's Ranch and traffic will get bad. Hopefully, they will start/finish widening Potranco (outside Loop 1604) before that happens.

Thanks RedOregon. That is a helpful site. The property # I'm curious about is 746633 (HEB Plus is 746627). It was agricultural - until about a month ago there were cows roaming there. I believe they pulled the cows because someone is done receiving the agricultural tax break on the land - indicating they're ready to start building this year possibly...

I found this aerial map of the Potranco and 1604 intersection with proposed retail outlets already mapped out. Not sure how accurate this may be but it gives you a good idea of what other stores could possibly be built in the area.

You may need to scroll down to view the entire pdf file and to see the aerial picture.

It looks like the site their clearing east of HEB Plus! will be a Captial One Bank and the land they're clearing west of HEB Plus! will have a Kohl's.
