Rd, it's all about the homes going up in that area. Walgreens in trying to take claim of those customers before CVS. Walgreens will probably open a place off 211 near Potranco as well.

No problem, always happy to help whether knowningly or unknowingly. lol By the way, don't be surprised if a Chili's also doesn't open up at that development. Unless there's one at Potranco and 1604 already. I haven't been there in a while and I'm unsure of what's being built there or is planned there.

They put a Chili's at Culebra/1604, so I can't imagine them building one here too, although I wouldn't mind that one.. except for then I'll go there more often and spend more money and gain weight.. but other than that I like Chili's

We need a Taco Bell.. for some reason I love eating there every now and then...

I was under the impression that the Chili's was going to be built between the Taco Cabana and the church on 1604 just beyond Potranco headed North. Was I wrong about that one??

No, the Chili's location was just my assumption (from seeing that Wade Interest was the developer). You're probably correct.

that's gonna be deadly.. that'll put it pretty much within walking distance.. which is probably a good thing with how good their food tastes.. crossing 1604 probably wouldn't be fun though...

I've personally never heard that, but then again I don't hear quite a few things..

If every that is planned for the 211-Potranco corridor is built (I'm just speaking retail wise) traffic for that area is going to be so so crazy. Because the homes are going in (tens of thousands) so traffic will increase from that but the retail that would go in would not only bring people from the general area but also from miles away as well.

We're talking nearly 4 million square feet of retail alone, maybe more as that's just a rough estimate of my own and that doesn't include any future centers that have yet to be announced which I believe will be.

Not sure if that's a definite, but I do like the idea of an Autozone close to the house http://www.ucrrealty.com/photos/properties/flyers/200703160936390.Potranco%20@%20Grosenbacher%20SP%2 003_06_07.pdf (broken link)
Thanks for the links rd2007! We drove down that way, but was thinking they may put one at Talley Road and Potranco. My daughter lives close to there and will like the new Walgreen's.
