Are you saying that we could not get a Library because we are out of city limits? We need to care a little for children who needs libraries. How can a regular citizen start a library going?

Good questions! First, my guess is the theater will be built pretty soon since Loop 1604 is now 4 Lanes (well 3 right now!). Kohl's (if it is Kohl's) is being built just inside Loop 1604 on Potranco (same side as HEB Plus). It looks like they are almost ready for the foundation.

Yes. Agree, however, the county can't afford libraries; though you can join SA libraries. With a LARGE donation!

I wish I had a clue. But the last time I checked, you have to live in the city (i.e. pay city taxes) to get a library card. And my "logic" (which quite often isn't very logical ) would be that since the vast majority of new developments in this area are toting "NO City Taxes!", that means that there's not much in the way of funds being handed to the public library system from this area. Doesn't seem like they'd want to be giving us a library. I could be way off on this!

Anybody have expertise in this area?

Is this true??? I hope not, what a joke. Just because I live outside 1604 in the fastest growing area of San Antonio I can't have a library card? If this is true it just further supports my opinion that SA is too wide spread. A city that covers over 400 square miles with a population of over 1.5million is just crazy. It's no wonder the fire departments can't respond timely and the infrastructure of the city as a whole sucks!

Okay...now...I saw the map cuatro 2 where it shows Military West and 1604 where the Walgreen is. What will be built just north of Walgreen? Also, will 151 be connecting with 1604 (going towards Military West)? Do you know what I mean? Right now, we have to do a turnaround at Culebra from 151.

I have lived in the 78253 area ( outside city limits) for 15 years and have always had a library card.

Both have already broken ground, not sure on the completion date.

Here is a link to a pdf for potranco village. I believe this was posted earlier in this thread, but this time they actually show some names of the resteraunts and what not.
