As I drove through SA today, I kept an eye out for litter. Some, but nothing to the extent some posters are complaining about.

Guess you've only been to one part of Houston. *shrugs*

I mean, really...as if the smell on 1604 near Kyle Seale Parkway is like freshly baked biscuits.

Default If,

If you cannot dazzle them with brilliance , baffle them with b.s.

True story about the zoo and the River.
S.A. may not be model city, u.s. but I would say it is a healthy place to live. The Chemical spills at Kelly A.F.B. (Benzene?) near a creek is the only serious toxic contamination that I can recall.

Default San Antonio Dirt,

Little contamination for a city of the size of San Antonio. Sometimes an entire river bottom and the river itself are defined as sites of environmental pollution. I have worked at Toxic Waste Clean up sites. Superfund cleanup sites that is.
Bad stuff. Very, very bad. All wearing protective suits and looking like space explorers.
PCBs, PBBs, Lead, Heavy Metals, strichnine, asbestos etc. It is like hell on earth.
Suits can fail, guys get sick, sometimes suffering for years.

I've noticed, particularly, the south part of San Antonio as the dirtiest. I even saw a lady throw a Big Gulp cup that you get at a gas station on the grass. She was surrounded by friends that didn't care at all. I've seen some dirty parts in nice neighborhoods too though, such as the one I used to live in. I would find trash and pick it up. It would be some beer can or sack. The problem is that some people simple don't care about the environment and keeping it clean.

Agreeing that overall we are cleaner than Houston when adding in air quality.

Disagreeing with the belief that only Kelly is polluted or the minimization of the other reported pollution in town.

It is not as if there are two options alone (we are clean or we are dirty). We are cleaner than Houston but that doesn't make us super clean all by itself.
